But.. You can not ignore that I used 2 quarts of makeup oil and someone may not.

So my UOA is not something I'd go by and blindly say its ok if they are not using oil or filter change.

Not trying to be a jerk about this, just want the OP to get a UOA and MAKE SURE all is ok.

My engine is more "mechanically-sound" than 99% of the engines out there.

Your [censored] is just garbage. Your "liquid dirt" just shows how much koolaid you have drunk.

How can you spend tens of thousands of $$ when you only do a oil change a year?

Amsoil is expensive but not that much.

Stop being such a poor salesman. If you spent any time reading peoples posts and looking for data you'll see how clueless you are.

So you seem to assume everyone here is just like you?
I have spent tens of thousands of dollars buying AMSOIL.
I have more than one car, I dont just buy engine oil, I buy AMSOIL ATF and I buy AMSOIL gear lube, I have 8 vehicles all with AMSOIL lubricants do I have to do the math for you?

Maybe so, I guess you have torn it apart and measures all the wear surfaces and determined that your engine is better than everyone here. LOL you are a riot!
Did you take apart and measure everyone else's engines too to determine that or did you just voice your opinion?
I know people who like to have fair and balanced Opinions

could you please attack the message not the messenger? and please post up the DATA that supports lubrication failure described by your opinion on your UOA?

are you saying that AMSOIL XL7500 is 100% PETROLIUM product, like the rest of the API certified listed oils?
I will be posting up a UOA very soon with 30,000+ on ASL 5w30, then I will be changing to AMSOIL XL7500 on the same engine
and post up the UOA at 10,000 miles. those are FACTS not loosely throw around opinions!

Man, I forgot about this thread. Say no more, you're giving me too many ideas!

I won't be getting a UOA on this car. I decided on Schaeffer's 7000 for a 7500 mile OCI.

Here is my latest UOA.

90% hwy / 10% short trips city. Dec 29th till July 18th.

Wix oil filter. Added 24 oz @ 4,500 miles and around 8500 miles I added about 10 oz for a oil filter change (see other thread about start up noise with WIX filter) and was about 1 quart low when I changed out the oil. Forgot to list the filter change.

So total added was around 1 qt and needed another quart. (at the cost of this oil, I was not going to put in another quart when I knew I'd be changing it soon)

When I changed the oil, the start up noise went away. Before in the last 1.5 months, every start would have a little (less than 10-15 secs when cold and 5-10 hot) noise.

MPG was the same over the life of the motor.

Here is the report;

I would like to think that this is the first batch of AMSOIL the engine recieved.
In past experience with multiple cars using AMSOIL after many miles and a few years on the clock, many of the cars would use or consume a fair amount of AMSOIL, many customers would complain, some ditch the whole idea and some kept with the program. those that kept on with AMSOIL would find the consumption would level off after the first Interval 15/20,000 miles.
With well used engines in good condition i/e 3/5000 mile mineral oil changes, after adding AMSOIL and going the distance the oil usage would tend to be with many vehicles about a quart every 6000 miles, this is of course an engine that has no leaks or blowing smoke.
looking at this UOA I would have another UOA done at 20,000 but I think that is not possible getting that information from Bill, but would be nice.

Yep, at least for the Corolla's. It's available locally and A LOT cheaper than the Amsoil. I still like the SSO oil though as well as all of their other products.
