guess i did not run it long enough before draining. i have been doing short trips back and forth to work in cold weather for the last month, engine just getting up to temp on most trips

I meant to state in the first post that i didn't run the engine long enough before doing the change/sample to burn off the excess fuel in the oil.
I had the same results in an earlier test with excess fuel. The following test I changed and sampled the oil immediately after a 100 mile highway drive and didn't have any fuel in the oil.
BTW, Blackstone suggested I go for 9k on the next sample. Not too sure about that....

Most never run their syn oil long enough .I get a kick out of the people who read up and believe all the stuff about syn oil enough to pay the higher price but for some reason do not believe it doesn't go the distance.

Amsoils claim to fame is as a longlife motor oil. I just do not understand why people believe all information on the Amsoil literature 'till the part that says it lasts longer.
