We have all in some way fallen for the greed thought pattern. That is why so many of us including me are in debt to some degree. We also fall for the more is better thing or the newest toy must be bought syndrome.

Of course anyone will buy the cheapest product they can get their hands on. That is human nature. They just didn't have to offer it to us. It is the same with drugs, alcohol, huge SUV's etc....If they are available they will be had by someone for some price.

You are correct.

Just look at this board. How many times do you see "it's only XX more"! Or "I don't care I want the best".

Then when hard times happen (and we have seen NOTHING yet... NOTHING) you WILL be looking at the $$ you spent in the past and wish you had it now.

Debt stinks. Trust me, not being it in is a very nice position to be in. Other than rip off taxes, SS and other scams that we have to have deducted out of our paychecks its great to see a lot of your wages be coming your way.

Didn't get into this mess overnight, and not going to get out it overnight. Easy to point fingers, using innuendo, by listing a short time frame, saying it is worst ever and the worst is yet to come blah blah blah.

If you choose to play the blame game, there's plenty to go around everywhere. Not just the last nine months. I suppose nothing happened in the previous eight years that led us down this path. Puhleeze

Wish I too was clairvoyant like some here seem to think they are.

IOW, there's a yang for that yin. Another poster here hates his crummy job but is keeping it for his sick kid. If his mind were allowed to do something more productive maybe he'd invent a service or product that stays on these shores...
