On the letting Osama's family leave, did we KNOW it was Al Quieda at that point? Didn't think so. Everyone screamed Arab's when Oklahoma City was hit, now some are claiming Iraqi links OK but it was Americans(be it a bad ones) that were responsible. It would have been wrong to detain anyone without some evidence they were involved. Hindsite is 20/20.

Tom Ridge in Homeland security is downplaying the planned attack. Ashcroft is the one saying the sky is falling and his intelligence appears to be based on the web site of a discredited Al Queda group.

This administration better get its act together real quick and stop squandering what credibility it has left.

I don't know what anyone else takes from this but I'm very concerned about the 90% of Al Qaeda that we did not kill or capture. Maybe we could have cut their numbers more had we not diverted resources to a country that was no friend to Al Qaeda.

If Ashcroft is to be believed, they are poised to hit us again. Apparently, they've had time to regroup due to our distraction with Iraq......not much being said about Afghanistan these days.
