Airstrikes in Syria.

I see only two acceptable alternatives: walk away & let them kill each other, or sterilize the area with neutron bombs. Anything else is, at best, a half-measure.

Don't forget this is the president who got Bin Laden and even saved the lives of the Seal team by insisting on a back up helicopter for that mission.

No president has a better record for killing and capturing top terrorist leaders.

And saved GM.

Sterilize the area and disrupt the world oil supply, brilliant simpleton plan.

Or drop bombs filled with Americas best barbecue. Pulled pork laser guided bombs. Radical Islam in the middle east would be eradicated in 1 year.

By forcing especially Saudi Arabia to sell oil in dollars and buy treasuries, that;s basically what we did! That was the basis for the petro dollar system: we get their oil for printed paper and keep our oil for ourselves until they start running dry, and then we turn on our spigots, which we are doing. That kool aid is very sweet. Hard to believe anyone really still buys all that anymore, turn on the lights for goodness sake.

I absolutely would support him if only he could say the words "Muslim", "Islam", and "war"!

Terrific idea, and Sonny's could be a sponsor. I'm betting a whole pig could be combined with the correct explosive and create shredded pork roast on contact!

Did anyone stop to think that the US just violated
international law by invading a sovereign nation that posed NO threat to the USA?

That IS a war crime.

Furthermore how do we even know if this supposed
group of boogeymen even exist as we are being led to believe?

We've been lied to over and over, and over again. Why trust our
lying officials one more time?

It will be interesting to see if Putin attacks Israel in retaliation, since Syria and Russia have a mutual defense pact.

You and me both!
Start calling this scum for what it is and start treating our service people with the respect the have earned and not some sort of Micky Mouse salute with a GD coffee cup in his hand.
That was a disrespectful and a disgrace.

Guess who is paying for the million dollars air strikes?

I'm not a big McCain fan at this point, but did he ever actually say the former?

That's a rather odd statement, because it seems that Assad was informed and welcomed the airstrikes...

Why don't you go hang with them and find out?

I'm sure you hope he gets some of those Jews!

Putin is not anti-Jewish. Many of the oligarchs in Russia have dual citizenship with Israel. Besides, to whom do you think Israel sold all the stolen US intelligence provided by Jonathan Pollard? Here's a hint: according to retired CIA agents every single CIA asset behind the Iron Curtain was rounded up and summarily executed with the stolen intelligence that Israel sold to Russia in exchange for permitting a massive wave of emigration of Russian citizens to Israel. There was such a massive wave of emigration that roughly 1:10 of Israeli Jews are also Russian citizens.

Russia's only naval base in the Mediterranean is based in Syria, so Russia is of course an ally of Syria. But that does not mean Russia is exactly an enemy of Israel.

People seriously come up with the lamest reasons in the world to hate Obama.

I am going to respect him less if I find out this entire attack on ISIS was done merely for political considerations and the 2014 congressional elections. I am very, very, very tired of the politics. Truly great leaders can rise above politics and achieve great things. Enough with the golf and the expensive fund raising events with wealthy donors.

I am also tired of hearing there will be no boots on the ground. After these airstrikes soften ISIS up somebodies boots are going to have to be on the ground to drive ISIS out. The Iraqi military will have to figure out how to fight for their country or the Syrians will have to go after ISIS or the Iranians or somebody.

Bill Maher in his standup says "just say it, you hate him cuz he is black" referring to Obama and his haters.

Gestures like that just further proves his disdain for the military.

Oh wait there is an election coming soon?
Think, suddenly we care about the people of Syria?

Sometimes I think these leaders need to keep things simple instead of figuring they are great chess masters. Too much nonsense in the Middle East with various wealthy oil rich countries supporting radical groups and then it all comes back to bit them in the end. Some of these countries now involved in air strikes were supporting these radicals not so long ago.

Maybe the leaders need to play checkers instead of chess. Keep it simple and try to do the right thing from the start, instead of trying to play elaborate games.
