Trying to airdrop myself 1000+ photos from my iPhone XR to iPhone 13. I’m able to get the sending device to find the receiving device it appears to have prepared the photos for airdrop but is stuck on waiting and the photos never transfer. Anyone have any ideas on resolving this? Thanks

I don’t know what the data limit transfer for airdrop is, but I think there is one. Awhile ago I tried airdropping my sister 90+ photos and videos and it wouldn’t work. Just got stuck on waiting.

The only thing is the new iPhone is already set up and working I’m just looking to pull photos over. What I did was mess up my entire photo library and lost some photos doing a google photos/drive backup. I’m no expert but I think apple changed photos a bit on iOS 18 it definitely doesn’t feel as native navigating it.

I finally got airdrop to work by placing the two devices head to head.
