Advice on car for work, lots of driving

Mercedes diesel, can't think of a more perfect car. Take care of it and you can roll on the miles for years. Plus you get a big powerful comfortable car that gets mid 30's on the highway if not a bit more if you go easy.

A 2007 would be ideal since that is the last year of the I6.

I have a '00 528i 5MT with an M-sport package and I like it a lot. Agree that the 530i would be preferable (better performance and better mileage) if you can find a good one (some used oil).

Many people think the E39 was the better model.
