I didn’t go through all 9 pages of comments, but since it’s not on the “sticky” that everyone sees:
SAPS= sulfated ash, phosphorous and, sulfur (additive package category)

Its slang for the Fram Extra Guard orange oil filter.
And its a fine filter. That acronym originated elsewhere.
Actually it goes back, way back. Way before EG. Goes back at least 30-40 years.
