anyone know if aceton is can be add to fuel without harm to the todays car engine? i read something on the internet that some race car add aceton to rise octan or remove water but is it safe for to do so and what %?

thanks

I wouldn't. But that's me. Acetone just attacks too many polymers for my liking. I'm not so sure how good of an additive it is, anyway.

Try xylene or toluene if you want a octane boost...

It blows me away that there are people that will pour anything they want into there vehicles that are known to be troblesome to internals, Plastic, and some gaskets. Acetone, Exelene, Toluene, etc.

They will not even concider GTA Fuel enhancer with causes no harm whatsoever and does what it says it will do.

GTA Fuel Enhancer

Lots of us here use FP and other specialty fuel products that we are comfortable with. I hate to open this up for another product plug, but do you even know what's in GTA or that the substances you list are not?

What is GTA Fuel Enhancer with Viscon?

It is a combination of pure hydrocarbons all of which are compatible with your car's fuel and fuel system. It is intended for and is safe for continuous use. It does not contain alcohols or aromatics such as xylene used in other fuel additive products which can cause damage to your engine if used continuously.
