WHAT? ARE YOU SUGGESTING I USE A JUNK FRAM WITH PAPER CAPS. NO WAY I ONLY USE QUALITY OEM FOR MY TRUCK.

I genuinely believe fiber caps are better than metal caps because the caps can get a better adhesion with the element since the glue can go into the fibers unlike metal. I just don't like when fiber cap filters have just a lickings worth of glue. I love when I see thick fiber caps with gobs of glue.

Filter caught some sludge I see that you swiped with finger. Dried media looks almost like new. Held up well it seems. Beautiful truck you have & hope you got out to some car/truck shows this year. Look forward to what the used oil analysis looks like on that oil.

What can also be noted about the 9 year old ACDelco ecore, is that it has a separate dome bypass piece. Not a "combo valve" as used by many Champ Labs ecores of that time. That's because GM always spec'd the real separate bypass for ACDelco oil filter applications for GM vehicles without block bypass.
