I just noticed the newer AC Delco motor oil bottles are the exact same as the Phillips 66 / Kendall bottles, just a different color. Same for the new Motorcraft bottles. I guess it is safe to say that both AC Delco and Motorcraft oils are made by Phillips 66 because of this? I don't know of another way to determine if it is or not.

Bottle design-matches could indicate they purchased their plastic jugs from the same place... and nothing more.
In this case. it may only indicate that this bottle was the cheapest one on the market to purchase.
Both of these companies are deeply entrenched in cutting costs..... on anything and everything, including white and blue collar workers.

I agree, but Phillips makes their bottles so maybe ACD and MtrCrft purchase from Phillips. I have heard for years that Phillips 66 manufactured Motorcraft but thought Mobil made the AC Delco. I know they can switch suppliers too, but just out of curiosity wish we could find out for sure which is what

I could well be wrong.... But that is a Conoco Phillips bottle... All of them. Motorcraft I have looks like a CP 1 qt container like the above.

Motocraft has been ConocoPhillips oil for years, but AC Delco was ExxonMobil oil for many years. Perhaps they have switched to ConocoPhillips.

FWIW (nothing) My Ford gets Motorcraft oil and filters and the Chevy gets AC Delco oil and filters. They are both quite happy.

A fellow Michigander asks what does your dealer charge for a quart of AC Delco? Is it conventional or synthetic?
