Why is AC Delco Motor Oil not on store shelves like
Motorcraft Oil is?

I believe acdelco has certain shops it will supply but your not going to see it everywhere. Motocraft I believe also has a bigger supply chain. Acdelco isn't know for motor oil more for parts. Kinda like why until I went on pqia I didn't know about fram syn much less fram oil

Pep Boys sells it, for $6.29 per quart (ouch!) but of course at that price it's not worth it and there are so many better options.

It is if you look in the right store. It's like asking why they don't put Shell gas stations on the side of the road like Exxon does. You've got to look in the right place.

the ac delco oil is reboxed Mobil Super 5000 I'm pretty sure.

There's no plus or minus in using it.
Although a few shops I deal with will only use the ac delco oil (that's semi synthetic) because it is dexos approved.
Saves them a couple bucks as they don't have to use like mobil 1.
