Visited Conocos website......

I was wanting to see if there was any information on Motorcraft oil at there web site! They had information on Kendall and Phillips,but not Motorcraft.Why is this? I thought Conoco made or bottled Motorcrafts oil!

Something Amsoil should try and do, land a contract with a big Auto Maker. One could argue they don't need it. Sales are increasing with Amsoil every day.

Ya, too bad it hasen't been updated since SJ. If you go by conoco specs the 5w20 will have a vi of 163 and viscosity of 8.9 at 100 c. That is pretty nice I thinks.

Actually, that would violate Amsoil's whole agreement with its "dealers".
There was a thing I read on the Amsoil web site one day by one of their executives talking about how he had just turned down an offer from a major retailer that wanted to begin reselling the product.
I got the impression he was talking about a big chain store along the line of Sears, Wal-Mart, Target, etc.
My intent in posting this is to say that Amsoil appears to be completely disinterested in competing in marketplaces outside of their established dealer network.

Amsoil is sold at Canadian Tire stores up here, which are probably the biggest chain of stores that sell automotive stuff in all of Canada.

So if they are selling Amsoil in these stores now up here, I can see them doing the same in the US in the future. As a company, they'd be absolutely foolish to refuse it. Think of the sales they could generate!!

From what I understand, CT buys its Amsoil stock for all of its stores through one of Amsoils' dealers in Canada(lucky b******!!). Not direct from Amsoil.

Even when I make a purchase online direct from Amsoils website, some guy I've never met gets the commission credits off my purchase.

At my local CT, Amsoil S2K 0w30 is priced at $13/quart, M1 is $8. The regular Amsoil 5,10w30 is around $9. These prices reflect Amsoils Canadian suggested retail prices almost exactly.

The Conoco Super All Season Synthetic Blend is identical to Motorcraft 5W-20 and 5w30 Synthetic Blends SM/GF-4.

Conoco Super All Season is identical to Motorcraft 10w30 and 10W-40 SL.

There is a tire store here in Texas that is a dealer for AmsOil.

Price of AmsOil is slightly higher than M1.
