A tool to clean interior windshield

You'll need to do several passes. I'd recommend a triangle one for curvy windshields but the handle on that Amazon one looks pretty stout.

I smoke and I like clean glass (and I wear glasses); nothing has worked better than two microfiber towels, firm pressure, and elbow grease. Too many things end up just smearing the window schmutz around.

If you are using some glass cleaner with ammonia (or anything really) cover the dash with a towel.

My Tacoma (well OK any vehicle) is difficult at 66 and I'm pretty flexible. But I get er done with a uf towel

I have a microfiber glove that I use for cleaning the inside of the windshield. I have long arms and I am flexible so it works out okay. I can show the glove later if I don't forget to take a picture. I've tried wand-style cleaning tools but I found applying sufficient pressure near the edges of the windshield difficult and getting into the corners was fiddly.

Same. I find it more exact to get into the corners.

It may not be cheap made, but it’s still probably made in China.

Still, I can buy four or more of the cheap ones. That’s a lot of breakage.
Yes. I'd be very surprised to find something , anything now that is not made in China.
How many of us recall growing up seeing underneath just about every product from toys to other things , those famous words
Made In Japan? I have often wondered and try to remember exactly when that stopped? I think it was still a thing in late 70s?

When Griot's first appeared, the game was to try to figure out the original source of their products, and what they cost without the GG markup. Sort of a "Sharper Image" for car stuff, which might not last without enough customers who blindly pay their prices for neat stuff.

To their credit, they've not only survived, and have many more exclusive ODM, and self-made products, but there are still some clearly OEMed products in their catalog, that can be had less for elsewhere without their markup.

The window cleaning tool is one such example:

https://invisibleglass.com/products/invisible-glass-quick-change-reach-clean-tool

The tool looks interesting, and like it would work well, but I've never gotten around to buying one because I have visions of that plastic wand snapping fairly easily, plus the fact that the microfiber wash mitt I use, similar to this one, has worked quite well for my needs, despite not having simian-length arms.

(y)LoL.
As usual I got off on a side focused on Griot's while the truth about this little tool is , I got one from Walmart many years ago that actually worked very well and is still somewhere in my cabinets full of detailing products. The wife has called me The Gadget Man for years due to all of the products (like that) she has seen me accumulate. Lots of things/tools I really needed that she did not understand , but she is right in some cases.

The absolute best deals is their annual "garage sale" at their warehouse. I used to know one of their marketing guys and he would email me and let me in the night before, for their "friends and family" pre sale event. I went two or three years in a row and literally filled my garage with their stuff. They had all the customer returns (most perfectly fine condition, many unused, but in ripped open packages), discontinued products, and product samples from vendors trying to sell them their products.

I have two of their super low profile long nose floor jacks...retail $400, $99 each! I bought several battery tenders for $5 with all the attachments. Facom tool sets, USAG hand tools ($1 or two per wrench or screwdriver!), wall cabinets, jumper cables, 100 foot commercial grade garden hoses ($10!). Jack stands, polishers, I have it all now. Hose reel trouble lights. They would also offer their various private labeled goods that had a packaging change or something at a blow out price too. I purchased a bunch of gallon containers of their window cleaner for 50 cents a gallon because they were changing the bottle shape and they had a bunch of old stock.

A couple years ago I figured out who manufacturers their current battery tender they sell for $90: Pro-Logix by Clore.

Less than half their price.

My daughter bought me a windshield wow for Xmas last year and it works well. I’m always wiping the windshield at stop lights when the sun reveals a miss here and there. Maintaining a perfect windshield is going to send me to the stress unit at some point.

You can buy almost five of the Amazon ones for one Griots. Probably all made in neighboring factories in China.
Yeap, same thing with foam cannons, whether from no-name Amazon sellers or Chemical Guys or, I'm sure, Griots.
NOTHING at all from Griot's comes cheap or is cheap made. :)
Looking at the picture in the link, sorry, it looks cheap and like nothing special.

Carbon fiber towels are about as good as anything I’ve found. My wife’s been using them for years and I laughed at her. Then I tried one.
