Hey everyone I elected to make a new thread about this.
My Dodge Dart will when hot and sun is up while driving or while sitting with turn on and off the recirc door . The light on the dash will stay on that doesn't change.
When it does that repressing the button doesn't make it move.
If the a/c is not on the recirc door does not do this . When it does this while sitting the air gets less cold than if the door is actuated closed.
I had a friend hook up his modis scan tool their is no codes in any module except for my front drl that are led lights.
The evap temp sensor tested good. Some people have said the solar sensor on the dash or there is apparently a sensor in the steering wheel column that measures temperature. My boss at work said possibly the ambient air temp sensor. Any thoughts ideas or suggestions. This is driving me absolutely insane. In the morning or evening when you don't have the sun beating down on you it doesn't act up. A/c was recharged to the correct amount so I am at a loss

do you have an air quality sensor in your system? Maybe the system is detecting stale air and decides to get some "fresh" air in?

When I set my AC to auto recirc, it will do this... don't know if it affects temperatures though.

If it's in full auto mode, let it do its thing. The system is simply trying to maintain the most comfortable temperature and sun beating down on the windshield will sure affect how the system behaves.

But, if it bothers you that much, switch it to the manual mode.

Electric stuff doesn't like the heat, probably needs a new motor.

My Camry's electric door locks don't usually work on hot days

It's not in auto mode and I don't think it has an air quality sensor

can you monitor the evap temperature when and as this happens? Might be getting close to freezing over? Then the system could decide to turn off the compressor and turn off recirc to prevent damp windows. Fool the evap sensor circuit (by adding a resistor) to see if it still happens.

I have monitor the eve app sensor on a scan tool and it will be reading 40 to 50° and will still move the recirculation door actuator
I originally thought the exact same thing I decided that I can I tested every sensor that I can test so I'm just going to put her circulation door motor in it

So the instructions say it has to be re calibrated does anyone know how to do that ? Without a scan tool

They're getting harder and harder to calibrate or program without OE scan equipment. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it had to be done at the dealer- perhaps under warranty?

I did find this interesting. So I replaced the recirc door had it recalibrated and it failed to calibrate and threw code

So I decided to swap a/c heater modules with my fiances dart. No change still acts up. So it would have to be a wiring concern.....or so I assume. Some people were naturally good at wiring I'm not I have to try at it. I did find it odd how the humidity sensor was reading on the scan tool.... no codes for it but that seems way off.

Ignore the wiring diagram above that was for her dart not mine here is mine.

Also just to add this in the a/c heater control module just wires directly to the touch screen. Nothing else just to the touchscreen . So the diagram can be a little misleading.
