How are blazer brass? I saw a whole box of them for $135.

Sadly, midway is C.Y.A on this one.

Chicago city law prohibits sending 9mm Luger, 45 ACP, 380 ACP, 38 Special, 357 Magnum, 25 ACP or any 22 caliber ammunition to your shipping address, even if you have a FOID card.

If it was a case of 500, that's a good price for plinking/range ammo.

Didn't realize you couldn't have ammo shipped....I guess I take for granted that I still live in America...and not everyone does...

I'm a pistol newbie with a S&W M&P Pro 9mm. I purchased Speer Lawman 115gr and have shot ~500 with zero issues. I was already going to purchase this round, but found out that it is a recommended one by S&W so it was a no brainer. Reviews on it are quite good.

Only issue I have had with target ammo is some winchester whitebox I bought around 2005- the rounds wee keyholing at every range out of my Glock 27, and everything past 10 yards out of my G35. Besides that I had some wolf 45 ACP fail to chamber in my Ruger SR1911. It shot fine out of my Para though.

For 9MM brass case, I buy by the 1000 rd case, and I don't pay more than $220/shipped for 1000 rounds. I check all the ammo sites and buy when I need. I'm currently sitting on about 10K rounds, so I don't think I will need to buy any more this year.

I had more than a few Winchester White Box issues around 2009-10. My Steyr M9 had several failures to feed because the brass cases were for lack of a better term "pinched" and elongated a bit out of round.

Cabela has their 20 off $100..

I just placed an order of 400 rounds of Remington 9mm for $80 shipped to my door.. with no tax.. it was way cheaper than wally world.

Walmart carries a whole bunch of different 9mm ammo - typically can get for about 23 to 25 cents/round in brass case. Do the Walmarts in Chicago sell ammo, or are they banned by law?

Ive yet to see any ammo at a walmart NEAR chicago.

Cabela's does something stupid, I can go to the physical store, 30 miles away and buy my ammo in person. They wont ship it to me at home and i cant have it SHIPPED to the store. I want to use that $20 off 100 coupon but it seems like its only online. They will however ship it to their indiana store, 45 miles away and i can pick it up there.

I think i need to go in person and speak to people at cabelas.

I purchased some 22LR a few weeks back at the Walmart out in East Dundee when I happened to be in the area. I picked up some CCI 22LR at the Cabelas in Hoffman Estates too.

Luckily, my family is still in Ohio so I'll get a bunch shipped out there and I'll pick it up over the holiday season.

When you say that the Critical Defense ammo sucks, what are you going by?

That ammo was one of the best performers when tested from a 3" barrel 9mm (SigSauer P938 - my EDC piece) into ballistic gel by Shootingthebull410:

There needs to be 4 layers of denim to make a proper test

Watch the video. Just like the FBI, he goes by IWBA standards, and tests into bare gel as well as gel that is shielded by the 4 layers of denim.

The rounds performed more than adequately in both instances...

I would not lend credence to any tester who did not follow IWBA/FBI protocol.

Come on man, this is BITOG

Academy Sports here in north Nashville carries the HST Federal in 124. I bought a box and shot it through my Sig P938 with no issues...but, then, I've had no malfunctions at all in the pistol in 250 rounds so far with several ammo types, including some Tula steel case stuff.
