Just did an oil change with the Q-state Advanced Durability 5w30 I picked up at K-Mart with a Purolator Classic filter on my recently acquired 93 Tracker 125k 4 cyl,5 spd.(4$QS hidden sale,3.50$ filter a CHEAP o/c)
Planned run is 6-7k .I have not messed with Q-S in a long time but I would think this would be an ok interval.My driving style is moderate with 30%(30-50mph) town and 70%(55-70mph) highway during a 60 mile round trip work commute.
I'm not real sure of the o/c regimen that had been followed with it and will probably use MMO as a top off to do some cleaning later in the run.During my limited experience with it it seems to use a little oil.Then switch over to Max-life 10w30 or PureGuard 5w30 semi-synth or NAPA 10w30 synth I've got in my stash for future o/c's.
Opinions?
