Below is the report for my daily driven jeep cherokee xj. Runs and drives greats. Engine is pretty noisy but on par i think for any 4.0. What do you guys think? Ive only owned the jeep since early 2024, Oil pressure is really good according to factory gauge, sits at about 40 at idle when hot.

Agree 👍
Lead is showing their age though. Have you considered a 10w-40 high mileage oil?
Funny enough right before this oil change a friend suggested going to a 10w-40 oil so I did, went with the Valvoline HM synthblend. when I change it next time I'm going to do another report and see where I'm at. I wanted to do the Pennzoil high mileage 10w40 but AutoZone didn't have it. Next time. Normally i go with the wix filter but this time i went with k&N, again autozone sold out of the wix filter.

I meant the bearings are showing their age. 😁

Awesome! Let us know how it goes. I've been shopping at AZ more lately too.

I'm running 15W40 HEDO in my XJ.

The gauge cluster is most certainly wrong but you have oil pressure :D
I’ve seen people say this, are you saying the gauge is usually wrong in general or that mine specifically probably isn’t showing the correct oil pressure? What 15w40 do you run?

Jeep 4.0+SoCal=15w40

Looks good, first sample looked better. What oil was that?
What 15w40 do you run? The first sample wasn’t as reliable I don’t think because I’m pretty sure I changed that oil at less than 2000 miles. Maybe closer to 1000. So that’s maybe why it looked so good

Dash gauge is usually wrong, you'd need to hook up a pressure gauge to confirm what the pressure is. Oil pressure is usually good unless your cam bearings are done.

Valvoline MaxLife High Mileage SAE 15W-40, it's cheap. Stick to 5k OCIs but can do UOA to confirm.

What was the first oil you used?

Valvoline hm blend 5w30 for the very first oil report I sent. I also used Lucas oil stabilizer and a zddp additive

I used Delo 400 from walmart when I had it. They sell it in a 2 pack of 6qt boxes so perfect for 2 changes. Sold that WJ after I got the 4.7 WJ.

So basically since so much changed this analysis is not very useful to determine anything. You should take the oil brand and type out of the title.
