5W30 mixed with 10W30

Is it ok to mix different viscosity oils? I had a half quart extra of both 5W30 and 10W30 and just dumped them together. The 5W30 was Mobil 1 Extended Performance and the 10W30 was M1. Would it be ok to use this in my car for the next oil change?

Since it only amounts to one quart, what is the other 3-4-5 quarts?

Well I have a 99 Monte Carlo with the 3800 engine and it takes 4.5 quarts which always leaves me with a half quart left over. So what I have left over now is a half quart 5W30 mixed with a half quart 10W30.

Start running a PF52 and you'll bump your oil capacity up to an even 5 qts and you'll have a bigger filter.
