My sons 96 Corolla has 200K miles on it. It was using a qt. of oil every 1K - 1.5K miles. He started using Super Tech High Mileage 10W40 oil and it has slowed the leak down a little bit. (A little less than a qt. every 1K miles)
I can't tell you to use High Mileage oil but it is working for my son. If money is an object, like in my case, I would use the blend to get by then use High Mileage.
