5W-30 instead of 0W-20 for 2016 Toyota Camry 2.5 Hybrid

Folks here repeat the old saw that hybrids stop and start often, therefore needs thinner oil to combat cold startups. Come on guys my experience with my hybrid completely negates that argument. The oil, other than cold startup of course, doesn't stay off long enough to cool down. I suppose if you are on a 10 mile down grade that might be the exception.
 
No proof 5w30 protects better than 0w20 that would mean vehicles running 0w20 would be self destructing all over
What nonsense.

An engine needn't self destruct to show lesser protection. It may show more wear but not enough to manifest in catastrophic results, or even be significant.

Those here who try to make a point, one way or another, by using hyperbole and extreme or exaggerated examples, might do well to educate themselves and learn to argue intelligently.
