Fallen trees are free. Click through those photos. I've never been through winds like that before. Low pressure bombs - amazing.
I have some of my own pics to post when I get back on line at home. They said we may have power by Thursday. A hot shower is mighty nice - but my body steams even when I'm dried off.

Seattle area really was hit hard. I'm in the 'burbs of Vancouver and our total impact was power out for 1 1/2hrs one day.

Four days without power? No problem if you had blankets and some Litton gadgets!
Thankfully 2 days is the most I've gone (25 degrees tho); I have public water, and a 2 burner cat furnace.
Now it's Saturday. We are surviving.

Just think over 100 years ago there wouldn't be any power or water service. I like power and water. My major need would be 2 daily showers.
Nope. I guess one of these years I should buy a porta -generator. We don't plan on being in this house that much longer, and the next house will be a "u-build it" with a generator in the plans.
I was one who was out of power for almost 3 days when the storms hit St. Louis earlier this month, so I feel for you.

Several people have died from running generators inside, burning charcoal inside, etc. Carbon monoxide is not nice.
Now they are saying through Christmas. Nice.
Yeah, that storm was really something. We were without power for about fifteen minutes. ;-)
BTW: I heard a rumor that people are driving the 10-hour roundtrip between Seattle and Spokane to buy generators.
