We like bird feeders but the feeders are in tree branches and not on the desk. I think that helps.
I have gone a little overboard in the crawlspace with sensors and dehumidifiers. And and even a more efficient one in a box in the garage ready to go into crawlspace in the spring.
I have two leak detectors lying on the vapor barrier. One near pump tanks and one near HVAC. And two multi sensors (mainly for RH) hanging from the ceiling of the crawlspace. The dehumidifier if plugged into a smart outlet. So from SmartThings app on phone I can check for leaks in crawlspace, RH in crawlspace and if the dehumidifier compressor is on.
The point of all this is the multi sensors also detect motion. And from time to time one reports motion. A mouse or a piece of insulation blowing a tiny bit when HVAC or dehumidifier fan is on.
