The second oil sample might really have been 24676 miles ran on it. This is a work truck
And the former employee was to have changed the oil and I believe he did not,That would account for the horrendus sample last time right?
This sample is much improved. If the next sample improves copper, lead and Iron. I believe we are in good shape with this truck.

I would try an interval back on the Durablend for comparison. The frequency with which Mobil-1 reports seem to show high iron numbers bothers me.

I'd give the M1 another shot. Since the previous oil may have been run for 24k, I don't think that M1 can be blaimed for all the wear metals.

If you run Durablend again, you won't have a fair comparison.

You may have been lucky here.

While Valvoline is lacking in Moly, the Valvoline additive Synpower is packed with it. (It was added during the Durablend use)

Yep. Looks like things are coming around in the right direction. Next UOA will provide a decent read on how M1 will do longer term here. Still cleaning up and diluted with the waaaaaayyyy to long of a run previously.

The signs are going the right way at least!
