3/8 Dewalt pneumatic impact

Just got one in today. Ordered from Amazon for about $80. Looks like they borrowed heavily from the design of the new Mac impacts. Not a huge surprise since Stanley/Black and Decker own both Dewalt and Mac. Not wrenching for a living anymore so I think it will last me many many years. Hopefully it has as much power as my old IR did.
Anyone else bought or used any of the Dewalt automotive type air tools? Until recently I thought the only air tools they offered were compressors and nailers.

If it doesn't make 300 ft-lbs, put Milton V or GuardAir High Flows on your tank, hose and tool.

I looked at but shied away from Dewalt when shopping for a 1/2" because there's no dB spec I could find anywhere. I got an IR 2132G instead. It's a good tool and very quiet, but now I wish I got an AirCat or M7 or Nano... well there's room for more than one in my toolbox.

Yes, that's the one. My IR was only rated at 250 or 275 but I ran it off a commercial set up. So two compressors with 100+ gallon tanks putting out 160 psi and idk if it was internally regulated on the highest setting or not. This will be used in a home shop with one 80-100 gallon tank.

Air cat got a bad name in the shop I worked in. When they first came available on the tool trucks a guy bought one and it was a piece of junk. Could have been a fluke or possibly they struggled with the early models. I'm sure they have their ducks in a row now but after that we all stuck with IR, Mac(was rebranded IR for a long time) and Snap On.

Aircat 1150 is the one, light, powerful, good quality and priced right. For a small size impact gun i would probably have gone with the ONYX 1/2" Nano Impact Wrench - 450ft/lb that member Critic posted last week.

Thanks for the info on the high flow connectors! That was not something I needed before but looks like it could really help out on a weaker home set up.

I've got my 1/2 covered already. Mac AW4400 old, heavy, built like a tank and extremely powerful when supplied with enough air. I do like a 3/8 for it's size and weight advantages though.
