Incredible opportunity. That’s my experience. Take my ex-boss. She was a Vietnam refugee who lived with an American family who took her in. She struggled with everything starting with racism and a language barrier. I would say she is worth $50M today, maybe much more. $100M would not surprise me.
Thanks for the post but the article contains fake news. In their effort to push past 25% for ZEV’s they included plug in hybrids which have gasoline engines in addition to a batteries. The fine print admits they are only zero emissions in the battery mode. Needless to say they will reach 25% but you can see the actions of the woke press in the article.
I know in Palo Alto a family of 4 with 120K would likely be qualified for affordable housing (or was it 200k to apply). Starting salary for a lot of jobs are 65k-120k for a very good reason: home is expensive here.
Since you can move a car around just like cereals and chicken, their prices aren't that much higher than the rest of the nation.
Went to Ardenwood last week and got a tour of the Patterson House, home of George Patterson the Gold Rush era farmer. I was told they sold potato at the equivalent of $6 each at today's USD back then as gold were everywhere, driving up the cost of everything.
