I can still remember when the big Ford dealerships in Toronto were selling 87 and 88 5.0 Mustang LX coupes for only $12,000 new. They used to be the best bang for the buck in the performance car game. Not anymore

Wow. I couldn't believe that until I checked for myself. That's been some crazy inflation.
The only Mustang I’d buy is the Mach-E, sorry 
If I was 20 something with more hair I'd consider one but not anymore... I do see them out & about though. I even have some 60's friends that love their 2022 Mustang. I'll just reminisce on the 1996 4.6L 5spd green w/tan top convertible I had. I put the top down once & got fried (sun).

I ordered my 1988 Mustang GT and it was 15400 sticker and I believe I paid 13800. Sure miss that car.
Best bang for the buck used performance car IMO is the 2004 Corvette Z06.
Period correct mods on an already incredibly well engineered car turns it into something that can fend off stuff rolling out today without breaking a sweat. Straight line, road course, DD whatever. The thing is an unappreciated monster.

I would like to see one with AWD option. My last one was dangerous on anything but hot asphalt.
But have wages kept up and increased by at least an equal percent inflation has gone up? nope. Almost everyone I know is making the same and even the self employed still make around the same at best or at worst make less now compared to before including me. My clients have become price sensitive and I don't blame them i get how it is but I can't easily raise prices without them delaying or rejecting approval of the quote because they're going to ask around first. My margins are starting to go down and at I went almost a full month wthout any work in november last year.
