2025 1500 Ram SST Issues

What engine is in your Ram 1500 truck?
I-6 or V-6?

Also, you didn't actually lemon law your Nissan. You bought it used.
You got enough online pressure created that Nissan bought the truck back from you, but it wasn't actually lemon lawed.
You did the right thing then getting out from under the Nissan, and I know you're doing the right thing now getting out from under the Ram.

What pickup are you going to buy next?
I think technically it was lemon lawed under the federal law which is the magnuson-moss warranty act which covers the vehicle for the entirety of the new vehicle warranty. But you are correct in that it didn't fall under state law.

Bought a 2025 1500 Ram Bighorn SST after lemon lawing my Nissan Frontier that was missing frame welds. It has been broken for 32 days now waiting on a water pump and some sort of computer issue. The driver assist features are disabled so the dealership reprogrammed the computer now ABS is disabled and it says the brakes failed. The dealership found out they ordered the wrong water pump after 28 days of waiting for the part. It's not the main water pump it's the low temp water pump that's leaking it also had an additional coolant line leak.

We have started the lemon law process on it. Anyone else having similar issues with the SST?
What's the SST? When I hear that I immediately think of Beings attempt at designing a competItor to the Concorde

The Hurricane was out for two years in Jeep before being put in the Ram. We have always had great luck with FCA and we got a great deal on the Ram. We also tried to buy a Colorado from two different dealerships before we got the Ram so it wasn't our first choice.
Sure but it took more than two years (or about that) for the first Pentastars to wipe cams. Most people still thought their 3V Triton was pretty cool two years in. Even the 6.0 PSD was probably (well, maybe) gonna last two years and if it didn't dealers talk it off as growing pains and customers say "oh well, it's under warranty"

I hope I'm wrong and the Hurricane winds up being uber reliable, but we just won't know until 5 to 6 years in. Then there are customers who don't keep a vehicle more than 5 years so they just don't care.

FCA is a hot mess in the US market and it's all they can do to keep Ram and Jeep afloat. Without the Ram and the Wrangler they're bust. The Wrangler is largely immune (like The Fowch!) due to how unique it is, but if they start botching the Ram they'll bleed buyers to Ford and GM.

The Pacifica and Fiat-anything sure ain't gonna keep them alive here....and all the other Jeep models combined don't add up to anything worthy of note

Apparently the Dodge hornet little suv isn't selling as well as anticipated. One of the car blogs interviewed the ceo of Stellantis and it sounds as if a Maverick competitor aka midsize and possibly a small truck is on the way. Nobody is sure if either will be a clean sheet design or if they'll adapt their miniature ram and the small ram based off the Fiat Doblo. Both smaller rams are sold in Mexico and central America.

Ya know I always hated the Dakotas but after working on a '93 with the 5.2....I dunno, they're kinda cool. It's larger than your average mini truck but not by a lot, and you get a V8. It's kinda cool.

Despite all its problems, the 3.6 Pentastar is ubiquitous and if FCA could just make a cheaper Gladiator-ish truck with the 3.6, they might sell pretty well. Make it IFS/IRS if you must. Keep it simple with options of rubber floors, basic seats etc. If it must be full-time AWD just give an option to lock the center diff, but front-drive only should also be an option.

But what do I know.....

Uh huh, didnt you make the internet news too? Trying for this one as well? Good luck.
You act like this is my fault which I find curious. I can't help the truck broke. I didn't make the federal warranty law that states a vehicle can only be broken for a reasonable amount of time before it's repaired or replaced or the manufacturer is in default of warranty.

My poor situations have made me have to learn the law.

Nope, but be aware of how many times that victim card will work. You didnt answer some pointed questions either. I dont wish you ill. Like i said before, good luck.

Yeah, my Nissan Frontier that wasn't properly welded together made the news. No I have not reach out to the media this time. It's a bad water pump it should be just a fix it and send me on my way under warranty item. It's been 33 days and they have not bolted on any new parts yet. That's not reasonable when it just needs a water pump in my opinion. I'm also just sharing on here and a single FB group my issues since it a new engine in a truck with all new electrical wiring. Water pump isn't a safety hazard. The driver assist features disabled isn't a safety hazard. They made it worse when they reprogrammed the computer to fix that and now it says ABS is disabled and the brakes failed. Still since it happened at the dealership with them messing with the computer I'm not concerned about it randomly happening to others.

A robot not welding a frame together correctly? Yeah that's a risk to the public in my opinion. Then Nissan blew off my concerns like it was no big deal and I went public. They offeredy $4k to sign an NDA just so I would stop telling people what happened. That was a very different situation. Not to mention the truck went through the certified pre-owned inspection and the dealership said there was no frame damage. This one I'm just trying to have them do right by the law and repurchase the truck.

So you think you can lemon law a truck that the mechanics have told you all the dirty details on their diagnosis info, yet hasnt released the truck to you fixed yet?

Why not? Maybe it will teach them to fix these things a little bit quicker? The loss of use alone should be a good enough reason.

$4k NDA is insulting. I'd consider it at $40k

I briefly looked up Nebraska lemon law, they have 40 days to repair. I'm sure OP already knew and is already counting.
