Bought a 2025 1500 Ram Bighorn SST after lemon lawing my Nissan Frontier that was missing frame welds. It has been broken for 32 days now waiting on a water pump and some sort of computer issue. The driver assist features are disabled so the dealership reprogrammed the computer now ABS is disabled and it says the brakes failed. The dealership found out they ordered the wrong water pump after 28 days of waiting for the part. It's not the main water pump it's the low temp water pump that's leaking it also had an additional coolant line leak.

We have started the lemon law process on it. Anyone else having similar issues with the SST?

Yikes, another lemon law! Sorry for your luck with these trucks.

I've heard that the new Ram trucks have been having some "teething" issues. Electronic problems, thermostats, water pumps, and phantom misfires.

What will you get next?

Its been out for years now.. so the basics should be worked out?

How long have you owned it.

I had a laugh at your signature: Your nissan was missing frame welds but equipped with Frame Endurance

Hey, it's the OCOD - an oil filter so bad it ruins the frame, too!

Well that sucks. I seen somewhere that the new 2025 Rams got all new electronic architecture.

Oi vey, why would you from Nissan to the Hurricane? That's a lateral move with a slight downward trajectory.

I'm no help but you were good about updating your Nissan frame thread, so please keep us apprised of what happens here.

You always seem to generate the sagas worthy of a large bag of popcorn. I take no joy in your suffering, but if it's happening by no fault of my own might as well enjoy the show.

Sorry you're not having better luck but -- WOW -- the Hurricane is really risky after the Nissan debacle.

What engine is in your Ram 1500 truck?
I-6 or V-6?

Also, you didn't actually lemon law your Nissan. You bought it used.
You got enough online pressure created that Nissan bought the truck back from you, but it wasn't actually lemon lawed.
You did the right thing then getting out from under the Nissan, and I know you're doing the right thing now getting out from under the Ram.

What pickup are you going to buy next?

I'm unfamiliar with the new line-up but my internet research says the SST would be the Hurricane.

Yeah I did that on purpose. Once you get 3 frames it it gets comical.

We got our truck September 30th 2024. We have put about 1,500 miles on it. It was a Demo so it has about 2,700 miles total on it.

We have it narrowed down to the Chevrolet Colorado or Toyota Tacoma. I'm giving a slight edge to the Tacoma because even though we have had bad Toyotas in the past (2019 Highlander with the 3.5 blew two engines in 5k miles) the local dealer did 2 engine rebuilds in 33 days and they have a great loaner program. We tried to buy a Colorado from two different dealerships before we ended up with the Ram so if it's that hard to buy one we don't really want to have problems with it

How did the robots at Nissan forget to weld the Frontier frames?!
They didn't forget per day they just missed. But that's an important part of building a fully boxed frame.

The Hurricane was out for two years in Jeep before being put in the Ram. We have always had great luck with FCA and we got a great deal on the Ram. We also tried to buy a Colorado from two different dealerships before we got the Ram so it wasn't our first choice.
