^^^ I've used both the PureOne (claim then was 99.9% @ 20u) back in the day when they were the same as the Bosch back then, and also the OG Ultra (99%+ @ 20u) on two different vehicles ... both of those filters were high efficiency, and never heard any difference in engine noises. Either you have a very sensitive engine, or it's possessed and making noises just to mess with you. 
I highly doubt that any big brand name oil filter is so restrictive that it's going to reduce oil flow to the point where the engine is starting to make noises due to lack of lubrication. Typically he oiling system is 15 times more flow restrictive than the average oil filter. So a few PSI of dP difference between oil filters isn't going to matter to the oil pump or the volume of oil it sends to the oiling system.
