2023 Jetta?

Looks like non hybrid might do 41 highway. Guessing hybrid would more likely net me mid 40’s, but I could see myself getting just under 40 in non hybrid.

The shopping is the hard part. I should have spent my vacation flying somewhere I guess.
On a trip to KY I got 46 mpg highway in my 21 Jetta 1.4, that was cruising at 70-75 on premium gas. Really no point in a hybrid with that kind of mileage. My results were not at all unusual.

I should add this is both my first VW and a little 4 cylinder with a turbo, what grade fuel do you guys run? do you stick to 93

See what your manual says for the 1.5, but the 2.0 allows 87 with a performance hit due to retarding timing. I run 91 which is the highest economical grade I can get.

Can Torq or SGII monitor timing, and watch for when it pulls?

Usually, if you are driving for mpg, you don't need the octane. Usually. Proof is in the pudding. But if you like to drive spiritedly it may like the better grade.

Thank you, I never heard or seen anything about it either until today, on another forum they were talking about mostly in the 2022 year and in the toas as well, some thought it carried over into this year.

I just bought a 2023 jetta should be picking it up later this week.
I heard about it early on just like Honda. Haven't heard much lately on the new vehicles

Just was about to create a thread entitled "Do you think the 2024 Jetta SE is a good value?"

Seems to check all the boxes.
Has it changed since 2023? :) Might be the same value, or not, not sure, I haven't looked in a while--I went for a pretty boring Corolla (with a CVT no less) instead. I was pretty sure I wanted an MT for a Jetta, but it sounded a bit problematic, and so... yeah I can't justify buying the Corolla, so I won't.

Do they give a Jetta wagon? Golf or whatever. That'd be a real value, charge an extra kilobuck but make it a wagon. Yeah it'll sap a couple mpg but then it's actual utility vehicle, cargo space and all. I had a 2004 Jetta Wagon and I still like that car, VW bugs aside.
