2023 F-150 Missing Features: 7 Things Ford is Dropping Due to Supply Chain Issues

They're not doing any of this by choice. They're forced to because of supply chain issues that are disrupting the flow of parts they need. Something tells me the way things are going, we're going to be doing much the same, in regards to going without in the not too distant future.
Maybe China can start a balloon delivery service for parts?

Most will miss "Stop Start" about as much as a bad case of explosive diarrhea in a elevator.
If someone truly misses the auto start/stop in their new truck they can have mine...just pay my local dealer to remove it and correct the wiring so the battery minder circuit works. Oh, and I want whatever trim piece covers the button hole. I'm not holding my breath on getting a response.

We have a few guys at the gun club that have it on their vehicles, and they hate it as well. All have gotten into the habit of pressing the button to disable it every time they get in.

I don't doubt in a few years they won't have that feature any longer, and you'll be forced to put up with it. Then someone will come out with a DIY "kit" to circumvent the whole thing..... Assuming they haven't already. Yet another, "modern engineering improvement".

There are at least three aftermarket devices you can buy if you are too lazy to push the button....it does save fuel BTW. You know the theory that a motor not turning doesn't use fuel. And that's a fact.

And a starter motor that turns at every stop light wears out faster. Not to mention 2 batteries to replace instead of one.

Again- an Internet falsehood. Ford has had start/ stop for a decade and there have not been widespread failures. You are aware that the starters are totally different as is the system that is incorporated in to start/stop? We get it...you dont like it but please educate yourself instead of spouting Internet falsehoods.

I never said there were "widespread failures" with it. It's just another solution to a non existent problem. A lot of extra parts, and for what? What are you actually "saving" with all of it?

You're stuck with it. I get it. But please don't try to sell it as something worthwhile. And in the Jeep there are 2 batteries with Start / Stop. And always have been. And they're not cheap to replace.

Live in a very cold place, and buy a vehicle with one, and you'll never buy another vehicle without it. Told my wife the next truck just went up in price about 10 grand to get the trim level with this...

I agree, my hands tend to get cold even in moderately cold weather and having a heated steering wheels is a plus. One of our doesnt have it and is sorely missed!
