My first filter cut. Felt a lot more effort than I expected. Might be the Amazon cutter? Also, am I missing anything else to take pix of? Filter looked fine but only 3k miles since that's my OCI based on conditions and driving habits.

Curious why you're asking? I'm new to this.
The cut as you say is not as clean as I usually see and many first time cutting many forget to pull of gasket.
I also think many don't let the cutter do the work to much pressure on the cutter

I leave the oily gasket on when cutting, helps reduce friction and doesn't mar-up the cutter. Yes, cranking down on the cutting wheel with too much pressure is not the way to go. Go easy and take more rotations to cut through the can.

My biggest thing was not being able to grip the filter well because it was oily tied with the tight cutting wheel
