It has the Ford Exploder :) front end and a VW Atlas asp
Got a bit of Range Rover too except the lack reliability I hope :)

I just put 2400 miles in an older one in a few days.
They need to make it quieter- wind noise and road noise need improved as well as the solidity of the structure.
CVT drone needs addressed and an upgrade in materials. Wasn't bad like you hear but just more upscale.
The 20" tires to me aren't a good thing.
And make the exhaust shields last longer than 6 years.
I'd like to see 30mpg + hwy too- a must for me.

And need to keep the struts from vibrating loose too. 🙂

A hateful design draped over what is most likely a decently reliable, if uninspiring, SUV built with cost as a primary consideration.

I'll pass.

I know my Atlas isn't the greatest inside but have you been inside a Mitsubishi lately? Woof...
I'm sure the interior will be stellar
Most Mitsubishi bashers never owned one.
I'm not a fan of any brand but I will be the first to see if all the hype is real.
I hope it is.

Oh so it wasn’t yours Jim?
I bought it for my mother for her anniversary and it went to estate this year and I had to buy it back-lol....
I'm going to trade a few cars in on my next vehicle and then sell a few more.
Going to be a one house- one vehicle bloke. Down sizing as I no longer like paying bills- tired🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️👌

Always got to have an extra nothing worse than going out and realizing it won’t start. LOL. Sorry about your mom Jim.

You don't need to own a Mitsubishi to know they're garbage inside - you can discover that as soon as you open the door on the lot.

If you like it you like it, and that's fine. But stellar? 🤣

Having owned two Mitsubishi vehicles, I can say they were excellent and very reliable. It’s been a while though. The interior looks great. I would like to actually see and feel the materials in person. It’s almost like they took a page from the Mazda playbook as far as a simple elegant styling but they added their own touch with the diamond plate finish on the center console. The layout is quite good.

In 16 years of ownership of the two cars, the only issue unexpected was a clogged fuel filter prompted by some bad gasoline on a trip we were on. We were not stranded but the car didn’t drive very well and after around 3 hours at a dealer we were back on the road. Certainly not the fault of the vehicle.

I’m not a fan of this new front end design language that everyone is using these days on suvs. I don’t ever see myself owning an suv but for the millions of people that flock to them, this lil cute ute is a good contender.

I have had many new rides and many upscale ones at that.
Yes Mitsubishi can feel cheap but so did every Honda I owned. I'm with you!

Sad that Mitsu "had" to mimic the front end bling thing.
The only bad surprise was in my friend's 2011 Outlander (their 1st of 3).
The card which received the RF signal from the push button starter wouldn't react in the cold, say +15℉ or lower.
They rigged a 15W bulb on the passenger's floor beneath the glove box to warm the card a bit. It worked.
Would've been a royal pain if they lived in a city.

+1 on the horrible interiors but that's mostly because they haven't kept up with the times. It is however, much more simple and (IMO) very ergonomically placed than a lot of other cars.

You can definitely see the Nissan and Mazda influence in the interior though. The top trims for all their models though were surprisingly nice. Leather felt and looked great and the door and dash panels were simple. Spacious interiors made the car feel bigger than it was.

Renault, Nissan and Mitsu are one company these days that's why the resemblance with Nissan Rogue

its a good looking vehicle overall, minus that over-designed front fascia
