Picked up a Honda Monkey that was used only as a display, it had 40KM. Oil is still factory fill. Gas was yellow, so I drained and fill with ethanol free, and ran 5 mins. Foctory fill is not any special oil according to internet Monkey gurus. Any reason I need to drain this out? My gut says leave it in for the first 1,000KM

I would change it around 160KM (100 miles) to get the initial break-in material flushed out. Then again at the recommended 1000 KM.
I've heard of draining the weasel but never draining the monkey!

1 qt of oil and no filter...Yeah, do it at 100 miles, then 500, then close to the normal interval.

A 2022 Honda Monkey has an actual oil filter and a 5 speed transmission.
