2019 Land Rover Range Rover L405 3.0 Supercharged V6 oil

Should be a few UOAs on the 5.0 V8 around, including mine. I've been using 0w40, and the V8 is essentially the same motor

Would like to make use of FCP’s lifetime replacement as they’re near me.

Looks like this might be the choice for a 0w30 C3. Any thoughts on this one?

Back on this. I ran LM Special Tec 0w20 for the winter and it produced a very good UOA.

Thinking of making switch to 0w30, but spoke to someone much smarter on engines than I and he said the only issue with a higher weight/HTHS is the cam phasers/VVTi on these. Also want LSPI protection but most oils I’ve looked at seem to.

I would imagine 0w30, particularly in hot summer weather, wouldn’t be a massive step up in weight to be a problem with phasers.

Thoughts?

The phasers don’t care. They operate just fine as the oil warms up and they are a closed-loop system, ie they can adapt to different oils etc.

O
Honestly real good luck with LL17 oils, much better than the factory stuff
well the 0w20 LM and Motul I’ve used thus far are LL17 in addition to the latest JLR spec, but thinking of doing LM 4210 0w30 for summer.
