2017 Nissan Juke

Yeah I know, ugly and CVT.

Wife really liked it and we got a great deal I feel.

$3500 cash, 132k miles, no accidents, one owner, dealer maintained, CVT replaced @ 70k by Nissan.

Came on snow tires that are about spent, but also came with a brand new set of snow tires. Will be getting summer/all season + a new set of rims if I can find at a decent price.

I have done oil, plugs, air filter, cabin filter, PCV valve, battery, wipers.

Other than 3x CVT drain/fill + filters what would you advise? For 3.5k if we get 2-3 years I am happy. The wife will drive about 5-6k miles a year.

Cvts aren’t the glass slipper everyone says. Yes, you can get a bad one that has a mechanical issue and grenades an early death. You can also get 1 that will run a few hundred K, or more with upkeep. My 07 Murano had over 300k the last I knew and is probably running around still. I’ve had plenty of domestic automatics over the years have issue. The problem is with Nissan not being honest with consumers, that these thing need serviced. Heat kills the fluid and you end up in safe mode. I just drove my rogue through the Allegheny’s, cvt temps reached 220 a few times and it never hiccuped. Of course I’ve done drain and fill every 20k. My niece drove her 2017 Altima from northern Ohio to state college for 4 yrs, never had the cvt touched until I did it @150k and it runs like a new one. The cvt boogeyman on here is just that. No one wants to talk about Stelantis or any of the other big 3s issues because…uh NISSAN!

I think they look like they were designed by someone that wanted to design a trophy truck, but got stuck in the compact SUV department.

I always thought it would be fun to do a full drive train swap and turn one into an off-roader. Cut those guards near the upper line for a massive virtual lift and get some good sized tires in there.

Stock drivetrain on this one, but does seem to respond well to off-roader (style wise) treatment.

Yeah, AWD. 1.6 Turbo engine. Good call on coolant, not sure if that has been done. The brakes where flushed a year ago and feel fine so skipping that till I end up doing pads. I'm sure the rear diff prob needs done also.
