This Filtech Honda filter was on my friends 2016 Honda Civic for 12,700 total miles. He went 6k on the factory fill and I put in some M1 0w20EP. Looks great to me. Put a FU 7317 and some more m1 AFE in

Flow flow flow! Wish they still had these available to purchase.

That's a little dinky filter unless you have big giant hands. I wonder why these are not readily available to the consumer. When I went by the Honda place, all they had was the Fram made A02 filter for round about the same price as a ToughGuard.

You can order the A01 from Amazon.

I think they are the A01 PE version...

My 2016 Civic had the A02 Fram made filter on it from the factory.
What engine was in this one ?
The 1.5 turbo or the 2.0 NA like mine ?

Honda engines do just fine on Frams. I run PP HM 5w20 in my daughters civic 1.8L and at 110,000 miles it purrs.

Not sure what the "PE" version above means, but FWIW, 15400-PLM-A01 cross references to the Wix 57356 and I've ordered 3 packs from Honda dealers that sell parts on eBay.

Interesting design. It's like a cartridge element encased in a spin-on can. Center tube and bypass valve are not part of the media element like in other spin-on filters.

Looks like a Denso built oil filter.

Similar no end cap design. Toyota Thai Denso spin on looks their cartridge filter in a can--ister.

Mitsubishi same looking no end cap design too. A Mitsu example posted HERE.

'IF' it matters to some and for information purposes, like most Asian OEMs, not noted for being especially efficient.
