This is off of my Sister-in-laws 2021 Subaru Forester.
I did her first oil change after purchasing the car with 63k. I wanted to do another oil change at 5k, or thereabouts, because of the unknown history. I used this filter and Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0W20. She drove 6,410 miles in 5 months. The good news is she was only down about 1/8th a quart, if that. I’ll take that after 6k on a Subaru.
Let’s see what the filter looks like.

Thanks! Those newer Mobil filters sure look very good to me.

It was a stout little filter. Everything just seemed so well put together. Even the can felt solid, it wasn’t flimsy.
I started at the crimp and counted 55 pleats all the way around. It was also around 55” long stretched out as you see in the photo.

Gone full circle - Mobil 1 filters were battleships before the overall “low tide” in filters !

@ZeeOSix ?

I don’t know, but it’s a well built filter.

Edit:

@Chris142 I just looked at the label and it shows “Made in Vietnam”
Others beat me to it. Highline Warren (who is also shown on the Mobil 1 filter warranty info on Mobil's website) and they are now made in Asia - probably in same factories as many PGI filters that look similar. Efficiency is 99% @30u (it's printed on the box).

The topic HL Mobil 1 filters are to my eye, well made filters. I realize some not especially enamored with the Mobil 1 box filter efficiency rating. That said, I'd be willing to 'speculate' still significantly better than the OEMs they replace including for topic vehicle. If I knew someone that needed to quickly pick up a filter from Walmart, wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Mobil 1. My .02

Thanks for c&p.

Jus purchased 2 MOBIL 1 M1-104A oil filters for the both '25 Souls . The '25 Mars Orange has one since January (?) . They're produced in South Korea . Look to be produced by Premium Guard . Will post pictures soon .

Glad to see an upside to Mobil 1 Extended Performance oil filter I have been using in my vehicles for 30 years.
I currently stocked up with oil and filters for one year, using Amsoil filters during that run to 10k miles and testing at lab for first time.
Mobil 1 Extended Performance has been in the engine for entire life of vehicles.

Picture of 1 of the 2 Mobil 1 oil filters purchased at A.A.P. because Walmart was out of stock . Autozone has them as well . Expensive at A.A.P. and Autozone . The 2 bought at A.A.P. were marked down with the oil change bundle .
