Which one of these would be a less costly as a daily driver?

Which one would be reliable more long term?

I heard a lot of good and bad for both. Both are GDI

The EB2.3 is a good motor and the one in the Mustang should have a gear driven oil pump, so as long as it is maintained, the only thing you might need long-term is an intake valve walnut blast. Even if you have to replace the turbo at some point, they're not that expensive.

The GM, isn't that in the family that has bad timing chain problems?

Mustang should have the 6 speed if it auto which should be a pretty good unit.

GM 6 speed was fairly solid as I recall, the 8 speed less so.

I know the newer EBs have the 10spd

The GM 3.6 timing change issues were solved 10+ years ago, as long as reasonable oil changes are performed.

If maintained the EB is a solid engine. If a 10R80 transmission I would ensure the software is updated. Ford designed this 10 speed with Chevy. Ford had some hard shifting that was largely remedied with software updates. Seems to be good to go but IIRC 15-19 saw more than a few software updates that needed additional updates. If it has the 6R80 I can say the one in my 1 F150 has been good and I like it.

See if you can find a 2.0 1LE Camaro 0-60 in 5.6 seconds, 13.8 1/4 mile. So not blinding fast but acceptable.
The handling is awesome, and it can be had cheaper than both of the ones you listed.

Really? How is the reliability of those lil 4 cyl turbos? I saw to stay away from them on some other sites
