From 5k on the odometer, I have run 10k OCI's on this truck for the past 7 years. The last oil change, from what I dumped (T6 5w40, 10k miles), the last quart of the oil flowed out like a milk shake and I freaked out, thinking I might be getting coolant in the sump. Of the 11 new quarts that went in the truck, 1 gallon was Rotella T6 15w40 and the remaining 7 quarts were Rotella T6 5w40 and what is tested below. (Its what I had on the shelf at the time.) The great news is that the UOA came out pretty darn good and a huge relief to me. I wish I would have collected a sample of the milk shake looking stuff and tested it, as I think at 10k it was smoked and it was 11 quarts of Rotella T6 5w40. Not sure I have complete confidence in T6 5w40 for 10k miles moving forward, thinking it is shearing. Might have to move to some other oil. For the 5,500 miles moving forward, Semi-Synthetic Delo XLE 15w40 is in the sump.
