I have heard that no Skyactiv-D engine uses urea, so this would give the Mazda6 an advantage over the VW Passat.

People on Mazda boards are kinda mad that I-eloop, which was advertised so much that pretty everyone (even the automotive press) thought was going to be standard or at least an option across all trim levels, is NOT standard at all - and only an OPTION in the HIGHEST trim level.
Very strange and disappointing - I wonder how the press will react to this.

Disappointing that the manual isn't available on the grand touring.

Be interesting to see how the package availability shakes out with the Diesel.

Some are saying that these feature/trim specs may change when it offcially goes on sale on Jan 2 nd, but i kinda doubt it - would be strange to change those.
I must admit that Touring Trim + tech package will get my wife more than she ever needs; even most of the things at that point will be not 'needed' by her.

But some of the things like heated mirrors which were STANDARD on her lowly econobox 2003 Elantra base model are in that 'tech package' - kinda sad. only the highest trim level has that standard, along with moon roof ! The moon roof is not even an OPTION on the mid-level trim!
