I like how Hyundai is giving the hatch buyer another option, and not decontenting the car for those few of us who want a stick! That is closer to addressing my complaint about not offering a stick on anything but the stripped-out base cars. Time will tell if the GT can be optioned with a stick and all the goodies.
I'd be giving this a hard look if I were in the market for a car.
I traded a 2012 Sonata with 5000 miles on it for a 2012 Cruze LT two weeks ago. The Hyundai made me happy when I looked at it in the driveway. The Cruze makes me happy when I drive it!
The Hyundai was all about form with no substance. The Cruze just the opposite. I have over 1,000 on it in two weeks. The Cruze is a better driver's car in every way. Better handling, fuel mileage, less road noise and engine noise. Stay with your Cruze.
Yes, I gave up some interior room in the Sonata but interior room means nothing if the car is miserable to drive.
This sounds too fishy to me. Are you part of some automotive union? Have you or do you work for the Big-3?
I did compare the 2011 Elantra sedan to a Buick LeSabre for ride/handling when I test drove a 2011 Elantra, then hopped right into my Buick. Same ride and worse handling, with the Buick being far more willing to change directions. I still stand by that assessment. Elantra sedan vs. Cruze for driving dynamics, the Cruze beats the Elantra hands-down. We'll see if the hatchback Elantra fixes those dynamic shortcomings of the sedan. I hope it does, as I have a soft spot for Elantras wearing hatches, having owned an Elantra station wagon that was an absolute ball to drive.
I don't know....Hyundai Elantra vs. LeSabre. Hyundai Sonata vs. Cruze.
Seems too fishy to me. Maybe it's part of the "American Pride" ignorance like I've been noticing so far on BITOG.
Some guy at work was comparing a Cadillac DeVille with a BMW M3....his bumper sticker says "Buy American, Buy Union".
