I picked up this little Civic LX for my grand niece a few years back. Been a great car, but the poverty caps are showing their age. When she asked what we could do, I called our local "Hubcap City". 1 BIL out the door; 4 new Honda hubcaps.
Back in the day a "bill" was $100. I guess that's too old skool? So you paid to trade a brother in law (BIL) for four hub caps?
--Some of us might be interested in the price in USD.
Never thought about that... Maybe a little soap and water on the wheels when I swap the caps. Some satin black spray paint on the wheels would be a nice touch too.
I did gloss black either Krylon or Rustoleum on my son's Forte winter wheels. It really did help clean it up for what showed between the hubcap openings. I think I might have brushed them off but didn't wash them.Never thought about that... Maybe a little soap and water on the wheels when I swap the caps.
Our '65 4-4-2 has the dog dish style hubcaps, aka "poverty caps" as they were the bottom of the line caps, as opposed to the full cover hub caps. This is not our car, but like these:Never heard that term before.
It's a good look when the wheel color matches the body. Our '65 4-4-2 has the dog dish style hubcaps, aka "poverty caps" as they were the bottom of the line caps, as opposed to the full cover hub caps. This is not our car, but like these:

HubCap City right off 280 and Bird. No reason to buy Amazon junk. They have cheapos, too.$100 for 4 new hub cap is a great deal.
