2012 3.6L Wrangler Pentastar- Dino only?

Pentastar is a Direct Injection Engine.

Chrysler specs 5W30 because of the fuel dilution issues DI has.

Dont get overly concerned about the 8000 mile interval. Thats the absolute maximum the OLM will allow. Most likely it will go off much sooner. Lots more vehicles go off at 2500 miles than 7500 miles (OLM goes off 500 miles early because you have 500 miles or 2 weeks to change).

There is also a 6 month maximum you have to abide by. The OLM will not go off based on time.

PS The conventional oil for a few thousand miles goes back to an old myth that synthetic oil is to slick to allow the rings to seat.

Almost 4,000 miles. Still runs great and had no dreaded ticking or anything. All I have done is use the springs from a 4-door to give it a bit higher stance (worked perfectly- and not too stiff either). Love the Jeep, though my V8 4Runner is hard to sell. That may be my favorite engine ever.
