The 2011 Ford Mustang with the 3.7L DOHC V6 and 6 speed auto are EPA rated for 19City/31Highway Miles per gallon. The mustang has set a new record by being the first car ever to top 300HP and get 30+MPG.

It's inspiring to see Ford and the other US auto companies developing such innovative and stylish cars.

This is a relatively heavy car, too, when compared with those of a few years ago. I had a 81 capri with 4 cyl and about 88 hp that got about 27 mpg with a 5 spd. I would like to see what an eco boost 4 cylinder would do.

Electric steering for the loss(FTL).....However it contributes to higher MPG figures.

I dunno. The S2000 has electric power steering, and people love that car's handling. It will all come down to execution.

All these cars with high MPG's have EPS, like the Traverse and others.

With this pony it comes down to very low gearing and broad torque curve.

My car is rated at 17/23, and I always get around 27.5mpg on the highway keepin it right at 70mph...

I had a rental FOCUS a few months ago, and that got me around 42.1MPG during my 2 day trip...

Its all about how you drive it.

I bet I can drive this pony around town and never see anything higher then 20mpg...
