Key in Auxiliary or "on" with engine off would do it too I bet.

"Throttle failure" and "Brake failure".

Well, I'll grudgingly admit that the Focus hatch is pretty nice looking. But I'm just thinking of things like the gremlin, and going blech.



Or the new Chevy Cruze hatch, that thing is sharp too.

My aunt had a Gremlin and she married a guy who drove a Pacer, true story. Ugliest driveway in Ann Arbor MI. But I have to admit, I still remember what it felt like to drive a Pacer, surrounded by almost nothing but glass. It was a unique experience. If nothing else, AMC created a niche in automotive history for themselves with the Pacer.

People don't want those. Heck, I'd never buy a hatchback and most people I know wouldn't either. People want SUVs, but not the gas mileage that comes with them. CUVs are a great comprimise, they get usually mid 20s or better mileage, and have plenty of interior room.

Y'all are all so old fasnioned. Generally today, you don't need an oil pressure gauge (except in trucks and the like), and especially a voltage gauge. When have any of you actually used the voltage gauge? Give me Speedo, a tach, fuel and coolant temp and I'm happy.


People want them, just North American people don't. North American's have the "bigger is better" mentality.

My mom rented a 2009 Ford Edge last year, and she totally loved it.
She might like this even better.

However, I have told her that it would be best to just drive her 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee to the very end, since it has treated her well.

Old thread I know but I just bought a 2010 Ford Edge and absolutely love it! This thing is very comfortable and rides great. I admit it took me a while to warm up to the looks of the thing but now I dig it. I know its not the manliest car you can buy but Im a 250 pound weightlifter so I can get away with a girley car a little better.

Who's NOT making small cars and hatchbacks? -- they're a dime a dozen. Everybody makes 'em. Almost boringly common....
