Wow! Twin Turbos in a Lincoln! It's about time!!!

That engine would be an @ss kicker in an AWD Edge.

Regarding 'minimal pentalties in fuel consumption', I have to laugh. The more air you pack into the cylinders, the more fuel it requires to compensate. Jumping from 265hp to 355hp isn't done by magic, it's done by a hotter combustion cycle. In other words, more fuel. My Mazdaspeed 6 with direct injection and one turbo has the same displacement as a Mazda 6i, is rated at 110hp more and I can promise you it doesn't return nearly the mpg of the 6i.

Or a new Mazdaspeed6... twin turbo 3.7l V6. To bad that would be way too expensive to fit into the price range of a Mazda. I can't see that coming much under 35k. Maybe though... you can always hope.

I tried to convince the wife we "needed" a MS6... she won though and we went with the CX7 for practicality purposes.

Have you seen anything definite on a new MS6? I've seen a lot of speculation but nothing concrete. I've also heard it might have a 2.5 turbo rated at 300hp.

Well of course the minimum fuel consumption penalty is provided you keep your foot out of it

Rear-end looks very "classic" Lincoln inspired.

The MS6 is a failure in the market. I don't understand why Mazda would bother in this market.
