2010 Lexus GX 460, 1UR-FE, Total Quartz 5w30 Long Life, 4923 miles
Purchased at 61k in April 2023, now 82k on the odometer. This OCI was about 40% towing. Engine runs like a smooth refined jet.

I do like CAT analysis, their turnaround time was acceptable. I am out of Total Quartz except some oddball singles.

This mornings load to the family ranch.

Good UOA! These engines are not picky at all.

Are your monitoring trans temps while towing?

Yep with a simple Ultragauge, always in 4th or the temps get a little funky. I did replace the radiator with an aluminum unit shortly after purchasing.

If you were towing this the UOA didn't know it. Very good all the way around! Nice that you've found a 2010 with only 60k miles on it. Should last you a very long time to come at this rate. As you already know we agree on the CAT lab.

What is the cost on the CAT uoa? And do you order kit online or go to a CAT dealer for the uoa?

I answered my own question. Went to a local cat dealer. Purchased 10 regular oil analysis kits for 187.44 including sales tax.

Dropped off 8 used oil samples with new kits. Though I may have to correct oil type/visc on some reports.

Cat rep advised me results usually in 7 to 10 business days. Cat dealer delivering uoa’s to lab.
