2007 Nissan Altima 2.5 with CVT
Car is driven approx 100 miles RT 5 days a week mostly rural highway, about 1 hour each way. Some in town driving on the weekends.
Any comments or suggestions ar welcome

Not a bad run at all. A bit of a waste to drain so soon - would have gone 10k miles, easily. Nice improvement in metals now that you are out of break-in....
 
Run the oil longer, you are draining out oil with lots of life left in it. The advantage of syn oil is the ability to do longer oil change intervals you are not getting any real advantage for the extra money spent on the R.P.
 
The car just came off warranty so I intend to stretch OCI now. I got a pretty good deal on the RP then they quit carrying it.
I've noticed that at about 5000 miles the engine seems to get a little more noisy so that was one reason for changing sooner.
I am trying PP 5W30 this round and if it maintains quiet I will stick with it.
